Summary | 0007249: Samsung Galaxy device is recognized as two devices with same drive letter | ||||

Problem is that both the drives have same USBID = USB\VID_04E8&PID_681C&MI_02\1000ABF740DC_02 and thus MM thinks that it is the same drive while searching for its drive letter. |
|
The user posted also MMDC files for both the drives: Drive E <DeviceID>: \\?\wpdbusenumroot#umb#2&37c186b&0&storage#volume#_??_usbstor#disk&ven_samsung&prod_gt-i9000&rev_0000#1000abf740dc&0##{f33fdc04-d1ac-4e8e-9a30-19bbd4b108ae}$0!USB@\\?\wpdbusenumroot#umb#2&37c186b&0&storage#volume#_??_usbstor#disk&ven_samsung&prod_gt-i9000&rev_0000#1000abf740dc&0##{f33fdc04-d1ac-4e8e-9a30-19bbd4b108ae}$0 Drive F <DeviceID>: \\?\WpdBusEnumRoot#UMB#2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_SAMSUNG&PROD_GT-I9000_CARD&REV_0000#1000ABF740DC&1##{f33fdc04-d1ac-4e8e-9a30-19bbd4b108ae}$0!USB@\\?\WpdBusEnumRoot#UMB#2&37c186b&0&STORAGE#VOLUME#_??_USBSTOR#DISK&VEN_SAMSUNG&PROD_GT-I9000_CARD&REV_0000#1000ABF740DC&1##{f33fdc04-d1ac-4e8e-9a30-19bbd4b108ae}$0 and <DetailedUSBID> is empty for both drives. And from the log can be seen that for both drives there is a line Device scan found (PossDev): USB\VID_04E8&PID_681C&MI_02\1000ABF740DC_02, Inst: 6176, Drive: 4 indicating that both drives are incorrectly recognized as drive 4 |
