Summary | 0007410: Searches: Search execute delay (Regression)
Description | Time that MM waits for executing search is too low (200 ms) and on large libraries it locks MM so user can't add any more chars. Solutions: 1. Increase wait time for next char input 2. Cancel current search and restart in case new character is added and focus from Search is not moved (EG. Clicked Away)

This looks urgent |
|
Actually I hasn't been able to reproduce the problem, in my case it always flawlessly cancels previous search while new search is started by typing another latter, but the true is that the timer (200 ms) is too short and almost always causes initiation of new search after typing a letter and this is unnecessary. Fixed in build 1350 (timer increased to 500 ms) |

I still observe this issue, and users report that it still occurs. Would it be worth increasing the timer a touch? |
|
Tested with very large DB and performance / wait time seems reasonable. Re-resolving. |
