Summary | 0007455: Auto-Convert documentation re. Track Leveling vs Album leveling
Description | MediaMonkey currently applies Track vs Album gain settings to: a) synchronization of Soundcheck values for an iPod b) auto-conversion volume leveling settings however, it isn't documented. Consequently, we should revise the Options > Volume Leveling UI as follows (* indicates a string change): Target Volume Levels --------------------- *Level Playback / Sync volume: _per Album_ * . [x] Level Playback volume to: _89_ dB . . Target volume for leveling tracks: _89_ dB Level ripped tracks: _per Album_ * . Target volume for Ripping Audio CDs: _89_ dB [ ] Clipping prevention In addition, the following context strings should be changed: This value is used to control playback volume for any track(s) that have been analyzed, assuming 'Level Playback Volume' is enabled. --> This value determines playback volume if 'Level Playback Volume' is enabled (for track(s) that have been analyzed). 'per Album' levels volume based on relative volume of the Album, if that co-efficient has been calculated, and otherwise uses the Track leveling co-efficient. 'per Track' is only preferable if Albums are rarely played as a whole. --> Determines the method is used to level volume for playback and device synchronization. 'per Album' levels based on the Album volume co-efficient (if available), preserving relative volume differences of tracks on an Album. 'per Track' levels each track independently, preferable when Albums are rarely played as a whole.
