Summary | 0007501: 1353: Unselecting video doesn't re-enable analyze/level volume
Description | When you select a few music files and a video file the Analyze/Level volume options are disabled. When deselecting the video file (Ctrl+Click) the Analyze/Level volume options aren't re-enabled.
Steps To Reproduce | 1: Ctrl+A on a folder with a bunch of mp3s and 2 movs and 2 mp4s 2: Right-click and see it is disabled. 3: Ctrl+click on the movie files and only mp3 files are left selected and see it is STILL disabled.

Fixed in 1363 |
|
In 1363 if you select 3 music and 1 video, it correctly disables the volume options. If you deselect the 1 video files it correctly enables the volume options. But if you instead deselect 1 music file it also enables the volume options despite that the video file is still selected. |
|
Enabled/Disabled state of these commands are based on focused node (when focused track isn't selected, then it's on first selected track). |
|
I see, and it behaves like that. But wasn't the idea that if a video file is part of the selection that it wouldn't offer volume options? In other words it shouldn't matter which file was focused, it should matter which files were selected to determine if volume options should be enabled/disabled. I personally wouldn't have a big issue that if a audio track is in selected files the volume options are enabled, despite that any selected video files can't be analyzed/leveled. |
|
The reason is because this detection can be a performance problem when large number of tracks is selected. |
|
In that case I think it should only be disabled when a single video file is selected. It's a weird experience that this currently depends on the focused track. |

Fixed in 1374 |

Verified in 1374. Although the issue now is when selecting 2 video files it will show as enabled. Close ticket if it won't be fixed. |

As it can be performance issue, i'm prefer to leave is as is. |
