Summary | 0007523: Device profile: Device profile Names
Description | Currently there is no way to get Device Name from Profile. There should be at least "Friendly Mame" Property from Device Manager -> Disc Drives -> [ANY DEVICE] -> Properties -> Details -> Property "Friendly Name" Reason for this is that Most USB drives come without Partition Name, where Friendly name property is set by Manufacturer and can be used in Debugging. Example my 4GB Flash drive have "Kingston DT 101 II USB Device" as friendly name.

1. Device name should be saved and then also loaded from the profile. 2. All device names should be editable. Even if not supported by the plug-in, MM should be able to edit device title. (Or at least add edit device name feature for d_WMDM plug-in) 3. There are few problems in the in-place editor of embedded device config screen: 3a. Space button doesn't work (play/pauses instead) 3b. Preferably there should be a way how to easily terminate editing (e.g. by pressing Esc and/or clicking mouse outside of the edit line). |
