I don't understand the point of this bug--as discussed elsewhere, can't users simply use the English page as a template?

Having a parallel 'template' page will only cause content synchronization problems.

No, If users edit English page to translate into Brazilian than in case of Save English page would be Brazilian.

Based on MediaWiki Documents I have not found way to use content of one page and include it in creation of another page. That is why I created http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/WebHelp where we can easily copy page content to for example http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/WebHelp:Content/4.0/ptbr and have prepared ptbr content page for translation and after that it is easily watched/tracked to see translation progress.

Two clicks instead of 7 that is currently needed to access and start translations.

But why not copy the English content instead of the template content? The reason I'm asking is because the Template content will _almost_always_ be out of date (because the English wiki will be dynamically updated on a regular basis).

The more I think of it and the more I read MediaWiki Documentation you are right and it looks that it would be possible to work that way.

Templates were useful while we tested functionality but when initial setting of WebHelp is done those double template pages are not needed and should be deleted.

Assigned to myself till all initial help transitions are done.
