Summary | 0007767: CD Metadata isn't looked up in some cases, triggering CD reads every 15s
Description | If MM hasn't looked up the metadata for a CD then every 15s it clears the CD track info from view, and re-reads the CD--without attempting to lookup the metadata. So the problem is that: 1) no freedb lookup is triggered 2) the CD is read every 15s causing: - the Album Art image and tracklist (which is generic: track 1, track 2, etc.) to disappear - disk churning / increased CPU utilization - occasional cannot access the CD errors (e.g. if attempting to do a freedb lookup - the tree collapses / resets if attempting to perform an operation in the tree at the moment that files are being read To reproduce: 1 Close MediaMonkey 2 Insert a CD that hasn't been previously inserted 3 Start MediaMonkey --> Observe that the CD soon shows up (without metadata) 4 Switch to the CD node --> Observe how every 15s the Artwork Image and tracks are cleared and the status bar indicates 'reading file info...'
