Summary | 0007842: Registration form says 'invalid code' BEFORE inserting the license key in first run wizard
Description | In first run wizard, step #2, the registration form checks for a valid code right after the user starts typing the username and then an "Invalid code..." message is displayed even BEFORE a registration key is inserted in the license key field. This can give the user an impression that something is wrong with the registration. Ideally, the correctness of reg key should be checked only if something has been typed or pasted in the Key field. Most of the time, IMO, key field will be filled by PASTING from clipboard, so the invalid code message will never be unnecessarily displayed with my proposed approach. But when the key is TYPED things get a little trickier. Maybe a little delay for checking the correctness of key could be introduced. Thus, the form would wait for, say, 300 or 400ms after the latest keystroke to then make the checking.
