Summary | 0007999: Changing device name via media tree fails
Description | If the user changes the device name (MTP) in the Media Tree, the device name reverts to its original name. If the user changes the device name in the Device Summary tab, then the name changes correctly. It should work in both cases. This can be pushed if it's non-trivial.

I tried this with Creative ZEN X-Fi and iPod Nano 2G and I cannot reproduce the issue. Which device you tested? |
|
It occurs with all devices. In testing further it seems that it occurs when the user types the new device name and then clicks another node (if the user presses <enter> after typing the new name, it saves the name correctly). |

Fixed in build 1396. |

User mentions here http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=58776#p303230 , that it isn't fully fixed. |
|
Fixed small tweak when renaming via tree node (not reproducable with iPods): After hitting F2 key the empty edit text appears instead of the original device name (to be edited) -> Fixed in build 1400. |
