This isn't a skinning issue, but rather a limitation of the skinning framework. To fix this, it would need to add a second set of 'disabled' stars (currently, disabled stars are hardcoded grey). Reducing priority. |

While testing MM 1413. I noticed that Vitreous Skin do not have that issue and exact point of mouse Rating is easily visible. Can you please revise. |
|
As I stated, this is a limitation of the skinning framework which supports: -starred - skinnable -starred (hot) - skinnable -unstarred (hot) - color not skinnable MM just greyscales it The issue only manifests itself with the 'pulse' skin because it's grey to begin with. |

To clarify little bit more. Here is how I see it best for skinners. There wuould be 4 Star Icons for rating within track view: - star_16 - half_star_16 - star_16_hot - half_star_16_hot *_hot icons would be shown over the normal icons that way it will show all info. |
|
Comment from DreadM: there is another alternative , i would prefer more , like its done in Songbird ,( see attachment ) you have a 5 star unselected background ( also most monkey player use unselected rating background) and the default star_16 ,half_star_16 icon overlay the unselected 5 star icon, i think this would be easier ( and look also nice ) |

@DreadM: Your Approach would not allow Show of current Rating while moving mouse hot over rating stars. I intentionally used high yellow contrast to see. 1. 4x star_16_hot = Not Rated -> Mouse on 4 star rating 2. 3x star_16 + 2x star_16_hot + 1x half_star_16_hot = Rated 3 Stars -> Mouse on 3.5 star rating 3. 4x star_16 + 2x star_16_hot = Rated 4 Stars -> Mouse on 2 star rating 4. No Rating This feature give additional info of previous rating. |
