Summary | 0008045: Producer/Publisher/Actor/Director/Year cannot be deleted from Media Tree
Description | Go to Video -> Producers -> Producer 1 The 'Remove' action is disabled.
Tags | No tags attached. | ||||

Instead of removing the tag it offers to remove the file. The same goes for Director. On Actors it does offer to remove the value and the value disappears from the tree, but the file remains tagged with the value in the filelisting. Refreshing doesn't fix the filelisting nor returns the value to the tree. |

I think that the bug is that: 1) for the Producer/Director/Publisher nodes (and perhaps others?), MM doesn't seem to do anything when the user clicks 'Remove' or presses delete (whereas it does for most other nodes). I would have expected that MM would prompt whether to delete the contained track(s) from the libary as it does with other nodes. 2) A second issue (that I don't fully understand) is that the behavior seems to differ depending on what is being removed. e.g. a) 'Remove' Video > Actor > Katy Perry --> user is prompted whether to remove the tracks from the Library or from the Library and Computer. b) 'Remove' Video > Actor > Test1 --> user is prompted "Do you really want to remove this artist?" |

Verified in 1407, all offer to remove files. It fails for Year though, neither the decade node nor the individual year nodes have Remove enabled. |
