| Description | In Device -> Options -> Playlists -> [x] Sync Playlists the 'Generate device Playlists for:' is confusing. If user sync just one large auto-playlist and checks Generate device Playlists for: [ ] Library Playlists [x] Artists [ ] Albums [ ] Location One could expect that the playlists for artists included within the auto-playlist will be generated, but they are only generated when the particular Artists are checked under 'Auto-Sync list' tab. i.e. if Music -> Artist -> ABBA is checked then the M3U is generated for ABBA i.e. if Playlists -> ABBA is checked then the M3U isn't generated for ABBA This is probably correct, but a little bit confusing behaviour. We should either: 1. Add context help/tootips to clear up the behaviour 2. To describe this as "confusing" is confusing. This issue is simply a failure of behaviour to accord with UI. |

Better I think is to amend the labelling e.g. Generate device playlists for: [ ] Albums [ ] Artists [ ] Locations included through non-playlist collections. > 2. Perhaps better to make optional, defaulting to non-breaking: Generate device playlists for: [ ] Albums [ ] Artists [ ] Locations included through non-playlist collections, and [ ] through the playlist collection. |
