Summary | 0000829: Play favorites randomly, with bias towards more favorite tunes
Description | This could be a new autoplaylist that: -plays through all 3 star and up tracks in a collection -turns on 'continuous play' automatically (this implies a new feature in the autoplaylist definition) -puts higher star tracks on heavier rotation -- not sure if this is possible

I think I have a much better understanding of what's required here after reviewing iSelect: http://www.iselect.com The basic idea is that there are applications such as parties/radio where MM _cannot_ stop playing and cannot play tracks with defined characteristics in close proximity to one another. It would be desirable to create a mode (even using an existing autoplaylist) which accomplishes this. Although an autoplaylist can partially do this, it cannot do so in a dynamic fashion: e.g. create autoplaylist for party, start playing it, user inserts songx into Now Playing, and then 10 minutes later songx plays again!! This new feature dynamically adjusts the playlist. So for instance, there may be a playlist playing, but when the playlist runs out, it should be possible for this mode to kick in. edited on: 05-12-04 13:39 edited on: 05-12-04 13:45 |
