| Description | The Artwork tab is very slow to open when there are multiple _large_ images associated with the files on an album. For example, an album with 4 large images: -In MM3, opens in 14 seconds -In MM4, opens in 25.5 seconds The user also makes a good point that the 'please wait... [cancel]' isn't that useful because pressing cancel doesn't actually do anything useful. I would propose that: - the message in that dialog can be incorporated in the Properties dialog itself. - cancel can be eliminated if it serves no purpose | ||||

Have you tested the latest build? For me MM4 is actually much faster that MM3 - note that I measure time from clicking the Artwork tab until the 'Wait' dialog is hidden. |

Fixed in build 1454. - The problem was caused by slower reading of JPEG files by the newer component we use in MM 4.0. Will be fixed by reverting to the old one and fixing related issue (see 0008063). |
