| Description | When the user browses, MM generally forces the user to browse/play tracks by Album, even when the users intent is otherwise: a) Artist: i) Displays the following in the artist list: [Generic icon] <Artist name> . . . . . . . Number of albums: <# albums> Instead, it should: - Not display an icon OR display an icon that aggregates all of the albums by the Artist - Simplify text e.g. 1 Album 2 Albums ii) Displays the following when selecting an artist: <Artist> Number of Albums: 1 ------------------- <Album Art> <Album> . . . . . . <Album Artist> ... ... Instead it should: -Rely on the breadcrumb to display the Artist name - have a shortcut at the top for 'All Tracks' by <Artist> (Breadcrumb would show [Home icon] > [Tracks icon] > Artist ) e.g. [Home icon] > [Artist icon] > <Album Artist> ============================================ [icon] All Tracks . . . . I disagree--the behavior should be consistent across the various screens. ATM, the absence of this functionality makes MM nearly unusable in a car--too many clicks are required to listen to anything. |

I moved the part about showing 'All Tracks' items to 0009480. As discussed over e-mail with Rusty, the part about 'Shuffle all tracks' is probably rather a little personal choice, while many might need it, others don't. My suggestion was to make this optional. Another approach that might fix this is suggested in 0009480 - to show Shuffle icon next to 'All Tracks' entries. This way: 1. The command would be easily accessible for Artist, Composer and Genre views. 2. It could be accessible by a button in the Summary line of Album view. 3. A similar entry could be added as the first line of the Tracks view. |
