| Description | The main menu currently has too much on it / isn't well organized, and doesn't look nearly as slick as the default Android 4.1 media player. The suggestions below will hopefully deal with this: 1) Content is mixed with commands: There is all sorts of content displayed, but there is also a 'Sync Now' command that doesn't really fit with the rest of the items. I would suggest that this be moved to the context/actions menu. 2) The screen is overloaded with content options (the home screen doesn't fit on most phone screens and requires scrolling): One way to fix this is to split up the various 'Nodes' so that fewer are on display. I would suggest the following organization. MediaMonkey - Music (main menu item) - Albums (horizontal selector item--viewpager) - Artists (horizontal selector item--viewpager) - Composers (horizontal selector item--viewpager) - Genres (horizontal selector item--viewpager) - Tracks (horizontal selector item--viewpager) - Audiobooks (main menu item) - Podcasts (main menu item) - Video (main menu item) - UPnP (main menu item) ? Playlists ? could be a main menu item (if they're designed to be media independent) OR within each Media type (if they're mostly specific to each type of media). See attached image. 3) App isn't immediately content centric: a) When run for the first time, the app should display the Music > Artists view (instead of showing a less interesting menu). b) If the application is closed/restarted, it should re-open in the same view last used. | ||||
