Summary | 0009853: Icons would make category switchers easier to understand
Description | Currently e.g. in Genre, views can be switched among Artists, Albums and Tracks. However, there aren't any icons which would make the choice easier to understand.

Fixed in build 47. - Seems to be cleaner to me now, but we can revert in case we disagree on this. |

I like this, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea for devices with limited screen sizes. e.g. - On my phone with a resolution of 480x854, in Landscape mode, only 3 tracks display. On a 320x480 phone, I expect it would be even worse. Maybe the answer would be to place the image at the side of the text or perhaps not at all. - On a 320x480 phone in portrait mode, the extra space from the images might be too much. Perhaps a single global rule can be that at a resolution of anything less than 480 pixels vertically (i.e. Y in portrait orientation, X in landscape orientation), the image doesn't show? |

Rusty, note that there wasn't any more space used by the icons - the row has still the very same height as it has ever had. We probably could try to narrow it down, but I'm afraid that then it might be hard to press the buttons. The only change I could imagine is to get rid of the line for really small phones altogether. I.e., that user couldn't choose the view directly, but probably only by the context menu/overflow icon. My guess it that it wouldn't be very limiting, since most users would probably prefer one of the views and wouldn't need to switch among them too often - so the benefit of having one more row dedicated for tracks would be useful. |

My Both Phones are in 320x480 and it is like Jiri said all is OK making it smaller it will be very hard on 3.2" screen of Xperia Tipo, but on my LG L5 with 4" it could be smaller. |
