Summary | 0009908: Question on Mini-player spec
Description | Customer pointed out that once any song is played, the mini-player never disappears (unless app is force closed). They feel the correct spec should be that when all items on the play queue have completed playing the mini-player should disappear. Just wanted your opinion on this as a spec update.

Generally speaking it sounds like a good idea. However, there's a problem that there's currently no other way of getting back to Player/Now Playing list. So e.g. in case user starts playback, then even edits Now Playing list -> after end of playback there wouldn't be a way how to e.g. restart playback of the same tracklist, or save the tracklist to a permanent playlist. There would certainly be ways around it, e.g. a Now Playing button on the Home screen. However, we didn't really like this solution when designing the UI. In any case, I consider this open for discussion and possible changes e.g. in version 1.1. |
