Summary | 0010487: Database disk malformed errors appear during USB sync with MMA (very occassionally)
Description | As reported here http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=69973 The "Database malformed" errors can appear occassionally when syncing with MMA in MTP mode. I could not reproduce it, but now I've just reproduced it and found the reasons for the error. It is hard to repro, but my steps were: - connected device via USB in MTP - deleted all tracks from the device using MMA - sync some tracks using MMW 4.1 Note that these errors are not related to MMW DB, but to the MMA DB that MMW downloads from the device on sync start. So users don't need to afraid about MMW DB.

Note that I have reproduced the problem and the scenario was different than 0010470 The MMA was opened and running, but MMW could not write to the DB because of '-wal' and '-shm' journal files. The solution seems to be to always ask MMA for safe DB copy whenever a journal file ('-wal', '-shm') exist and MMW needs write access. |
