Summary | 0011417: Bluetooth STOP command terminates MMA
Description | MMA uses the 'STOP' button (in the notifications bar) as a signal to turn off MMA. BUT, if a car sends a 'STOP' signal, the intent is probably not for MMA to terminate, but it does. The effect is that the user must then launch MMW before starting up the car. One user suggested that running an MMA bluetooth listener service could solve this problem with minimal battery drain, but I wonder if an simpler/though possibly more battery draining approach might be to interpret bluetooth Stop commands as 'Advance to the end of the track and then Pause'. note: I haven't tested this--I don't have a bluetooth device that behaves in this fashion, so I can't even verify how MMA behaves in response to bluetooth 'Stop' command.

Tested today on two car stereos. There is no Stop on BT but rather BT Disconnect that triggers stop and put MMA to IDLE which closes after timeout. |

I have no devices with STOP button, so I have not tested it. From now STOP action should stop playback only. Fixed in build 178. |
