Summary | 0013484: Some ALAC files are not playable from version 4.1.13
Description | User has sent us M4A/ALAC file, which is playable in MM 4.1.10 and other audio players, but not in MM 4.1.13. and 4.1.14. It is related to our ALAC decoding support, older versions played ALAC using QuickTime. The problem is in the file format - it includes some non-standard NULL padding between MOOV an MDAT atoms (Apple used this for some MOV files). The solution is to re-tag affected files with MM, it will remove the padding, but we should play these files even without this re-tagging.

Reopening. It seems, combination of tagging in MM and in "Tag&Rename" application could destroy M4A files. Searching for the cause. |
