Summary | 0015245: Setup: Normal Install do not suggest Program Files Folder but Portable Folder
Description | Normal Install should suggest Installation in c:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey 5 instead of c:\MediaMonkey 5 At least for some time It would be good that in case of c:\MediaMonkey 5 exists it Selects Portable as default that way existing users still using Portable do not end with multiple versions.

2138 Use different approach than 2136 and lower. If setup file is started from F: than it suggest to install at "F:\MediaMonkey 5" all previous versions suggested "C:\MediaMonkey 5" or System drive Letter. |
Installing to F: or another non-system drive would seem to be an appropriate approach if MM is configured to install to a portable path (and 2138 _is_ configured to be installed to a portable path). |
Using Non drive letters is design feature as explained in 0008750:0029043 and ATM it depends on drive letter where MM5 setup is Downloaded Previous versions used c:\ that is also wrong according to 0008750:0029043 but it felt more naturally than using Downloaded drive letter. |
This seems subjective and suggest that we don't spend time on this. |

Verified 2260 I agree current approach works just fine and we have not received complains. Note: Installation also warn if you install on top of existing installation no matter if it is normal or portable. |
