Artist search for Heart and Rush bands fixed in build 3109. I cannot reproduce the rest, for me it works as it should. It could be some temporary problem with our MB server. Also check Options - Metadata lookup - Info panel is checked. |

For 'Queen', most of the Artist images are of different queens of England!? |

I see only images of Queen band, strange. Tried to improve image searching for Queen in build 3110. But I noticed, that our MB server returns some Vietnamese singer "Lục Thị Thúy Quyên" for "Queen", it has English name Queen too, but should not have priority. Assigning to Petr to look at this. |

I created full debug log with 3109 and fetch Screenshots that clearly shows Queen Info Fail, bu also that Album "Natural Born Killers" show correct info. Uploaded to FTP in MM5 bugs folder |

The Miracle - album was not found, because files do not have Album Artist assigned. But found another problem - for Queen albums it sometimes returns info about single of the same name, not album. It is why "A Kind of Magic" has only genres filled. Petr, could you look, whether we could fix it? It is the same with "The Miracle", if Album Artist is set to "Queen". |

Michal improved the Queen query on the client side in 3110. The bug remains open re. the server-side fixes described above. |

Tested 3110, and there are still many issues at the client side: 1) Incorrect Image Search lookups and often worse worse results in Playing [Artists] view a) A/AA: Marion Black - Who Knows: Image search shows a mix of correct/incorrect images, but Playing [Artists] tends to rotate among images of some women and glasses! b) A/AA: The Postal Service - Give Up: Image search shows a mix of correct images + incorrect album covers. But Playing [Artists] included an image of The Beatles! c) A/AA: Say Hi - Oohs and Aahs: Image search shows only 1 correct image (from Discogs). But Playing [Artists] doesn't show any correct images! d) A/AA: Prince - Purple Rain: Image search shows correct images, but Playing [Artists] includes correct images interspecsed with an image of The Beatles (same as b) above)! e) A/AA 10cc - Bloody Tourists: Image search finds mostly correct images, but Playing [Artists] shows a mix of images from legacy tours + album covers f) The Police - Message in a Box: Image search finds a 50/50 mix of correct images / album covers. g) Kopecky - Heartbeat: Image search and Playing [Artists] shows images of bikers! h) Go Home Productions - Rapture Riders: Image search finds 1 correct image (the first) and Playing [Artists] shows nothing i) The Grapes of Wrath - Seems like Fate: Image search finds one correct image (the firsst) along with a bunch of others based on the Book/Movie of the same title. But Album Search only displays images of the Book or Movie with the same name. Summary: there seem to be 5 issues: i) Artist image search sometimes fails completely for obscure bands ii) Artist image search sometimes fails except for a single image from discogs. In such cases Playing [Artists] fails completely. What's strange is that my library has cached images for such artists that were looked up correctly by previous versions of MM (even though this version doesn't find them) AND Playing[Artists] doesn't display them despite the fact that they're already stored to the DB! iii) Artist image search often fails by inserting Album Covers rather than artist images. This error tends to propagate to Playing [Artists] iv) Playing [Artists] occasionally shows what appears to be a cached image of 'The Beatles' 2) Wiki lookups are incorrect (this occurs rarely): a) A/AA: Queen - The Miracle: Image search is now correct, but Wiki Lookup always fails to show the correct entry. In Music > Artists, it shows a blank entry (user must manually switch to 'Queen (UK band)', but even after this switch is made, the Now Playing [Artists] view shows a blank entry. |

Further testing Today i Have found that like @Michal pointed Albums which are missing Album Artist often return none or wrong artist. Workaround to make it work in most of those cases is to CRTL+A all Track In album and do the Multi track properties to assign Album Artist it Now works normally. I guess if Album Artist Missing and all Tracks from Album have same Artist (as shown in Video) MM should Auto Guess Album Artist and suggest it (with Save Icon) eg. do a multi tag edit. EDIT: Same goes for Suggesting Compilation albums Which in Most cases works OK See Pictures of Suggested matches. Where "The Miracle do not even have Queen album as suggestion. Please note how in Video when you click on Empty Album Artist MM Automatically suggest "Queen" which is actually the right value. |

Improved in build 3111. I added rules for given artists and also decreased limit for resolution, so it could sometimes get slightly worse quality, but hopefully more reliable results. Problem is mostly with rare artists, who do not have many quality images on Internet. Google indexes images by context, so sometimes it returns image from page, where the artist is mentioned, but the image itself can contain something else, such situation is very hardly solvable. Note, that we do not use Discogs for Playing view, because it nearly always contains only low resolution image. I also fixed problem with fetching images and blacklisted few other sites, it should help with situation, when it sometimes did not display any image for very long time. Btw. we currently do not use title artist images from artist view for presentation in Playing view. It often contains only small resolution images, which do not look nice. We could consider later adding support for loading images only with resolution higher than certain number, it is not prepared for such action and is not safe to do it to 2024.1. Assigned back to Petr to do server part adjustments, especially problem with using single for album of the same name. |

This is mostly resolved in 3110. I'm holding off on closing it until 0021528 is fixed/verified. |
