Summary0022536: Numeric Input element has low accessibility, should have better skinning with added slider
DescriptionNumeric input element has very tiny up/down buttons, they are hard to use even with a mouse, almost impossible using a finger in Touch mode. They are also hard to observe for people with poor vision. As far as I know, these buttons are not skinnable, the native skins don't show different state of hovered or pressed buttons (reported in 0022535).

My suggestion is to add a slider on the right side to each numeric Input element, which should be in sync with the text in its edit box, i.e. when user drags a slider, the value in text should change, and vice versa.

Here are a couple of examples:

If you implement the suggestion with the added slider, I wouldn't recommend that you get rid of the up/down control. Sometimes they are needed for fine control of the value. Or, maybe even better, instead of them you could add the new larger left/right buttons on the sides of slider, as I suggested in 0022537.

By the way, here is a screenshot how I have implemented the numerical text boxes with sliders in my addons for MM4.
