Summary | 0003251: Download Podcast episodes and other MP3s without subscribing
Description | Users should be able to download podcast episodes for later playback without subscribing. One would expect this to be available as a context option. iTunes doesn't include this functionality, however, several users have already requested it. note: Songbird implements track downloading of both Podcast episodes and tracks on a web page. We can consider implementing the latter as well.

A user explained to me that MusicMatch allows tracks to be Played immediately, or queued depending on the user's needs. e.g. user clicks an MP3 on a web page -->dialog appears giving the option to Play Now, Play Next, Play Last [ ] Don't ask again. -->MM performs the appropriate action, persisting the last chosen option. Alternatively, this can be configured on the player panel, but it seems that this type of action might regularly require config changes depending on the context. |
