Summary | 0003948: iPod Synch: read-only files are copied to the iPod as read-only
Description | In 1101 if the user includes a track in the auto-synch list that is Read-only, then when it is synced to the iPod, it is stored on the iPod with attributes 'Read-only' and 'archive'. If the said track is removed from the auto-synch list, then MM gives an error that 'The track is archive read-only...Do you want to change it?' (annoying since it interrupts synchronization). If the user clicks: Yes --> it's deleted No --> it's deleted from the DB but not from the device (which causes other synch problems later on--e.g. if the track is added back to the synch list, then it doesn't get added to the db, so even though it's on the device, the user can't access it--this might be worth fixing as a separate bug--I'm not sure if this situation can be triggerred in other ways). Posting a debug log showing a Sync of 'Burl Ives - I'll be your baby tonight', and subsequent sync after it has been removed, plus the track itself.

note: occasionally, while testing this, MM crashed without generating an EL Log if Closed while iPod was still connected. Not sure if there's a relatioship... I've saved a debug log that shows what happens up until the point that MM crashes. |

Fixed in build 1102. - Read-only files are correctly removed from iPods. |

Verified 1102 (only on iPod). |
