Summary | 0005313: Make languages downloadable via the installer
Description | Given the increasing number of languages for MM, it would be useful to have language files loaded dynamically by the installer. That way: -the installer can run in all supported languages by integrating the installer localizations for all languages -the installer size can be kept down by having language files for the app load dynamically -help files for foreign languages can automatically install (assuming we don't switch to wiki-based help).

There are a few problems in build 1352: 1) Text for untranslated strings appears in Czech instead of English. e.g.: Upon completing the install in French: Stahuji jazykvy balicek: French and then another dialog: Stazeni jazykovenho baliktu selhalo: French (Chyba stazeni) All untranslated strings should appear in English 2) UTF-8 strings from install.po files display incorrectly in the installer (issue re. .isl codepages). 3) Some languages fail to download (requires further investigation--perhaps links are incorrect?) Setting as immediate--this should be fixed right away. |
