Summary | 0005323: Changing search mode doesn't update search mode until new node is selected
Description | A) MediaMonkey fails to refresh the changed search mode for the search box when the setting is changed in the MediaMonkey options. You need to select a new node for it to update. To get the search mode to change you need to: 1. Switch the SearchMode for the entire Library to "Google" 2. Search for a term (Required) 3. Select the Library Node and now the search mode is updated B) MediaMonkey fails to load the changed search mode on startup To reproduce: 1. Select the Library node 2. Switch the search mode to Library (Filtered) (for Library node) 3. Exit MediaMonkey 4. Start MediaMonkey 5. Type search (note that before typing search no search mode is mentioned in search box) 6. Result is a white tracklistings (results) page C) MediaMonkey fails to update search mode for Playlist node 1. Set a different search mode for Playlists 2. Go to any node (with different search mode than playlists) 3. Go to playlist node 4. Search mode reflects previous node not playlist node

I divided this issues to A,B,C. B) and C) are regressions inroduced when fixing issue 0005105, thank you for noticing this. i.e. B & C are fixed in build 1225. Re: A) I think this is not a bug, see this example: 1. I select an artist sub to library node 2. I change search mode to 'Current selection' and do a search 3. I go to options to change just the default search mode for Library nodes from 'Entire Library' to 'Library (filtered)'. 4. Clicked OK to leave the Options But this not mean I want to lose my current selection I made before entering options! I wanted just to change the DEFAULT behaviour. So if I want the behaviour to be applied I need to click another library or sub to library node. I think this makes sense and therefore I guess no change is required for A. |
