Summary | 0007004: Compatibility of MM3 and MM4 skins
Description | Due the changes in MM4 skins it would be nice that MM4 Warn user that MM3 Skin is going to be used so maybe some artifacts can arise or skin elements are not shown correctly. Based on what I see settings.ini is added in MM4 skins so in case it is missing we can warn user that native MM4 is not loaded, also we should update EngineVersion in other INI files.

I'm not sure how many changes are there, but it seems to me to make sense to completely ignore MM3 skins and when such is selected, automatically revert to MM4 skin. So that user/skinner would have to modify the old skin in case he'd like to use it in MM4. |

MM3 skins are compatible with MM4. Instead of aero player in main window is used old-style player and same player is used in full screen, when new player isn't available inside the skin. Also you can try to use Glided (this isn't updated for MM4). |

Ok, so I think the best approach would be to switch to the MM 4.0 default skin on 4.0 first installation - user can revert this change manually later. |
