Summary | 0007358: 1348: UPnP Server in Location node
Description | Despite not having added any tracks through UPnP to my Library the Location node for all my Collections show an entry for UPnP server. It shows an expand icon which doesn't do anything and no content is listed either.

Fixed in build 1356. |

This issue seems partially fixed in 1367. If no files are in Library scanned over DLNA server the Location node doesn't show Media Servers for any Collection. However if some audio files (which show in Music Collection) are added over DLNA all Collections will show Media Servers in the Location node despite that the Collection has no tracks over DLNA in the Library. |

Fixed in build 1369. |
This issue is partially fixed. If you have a Collections Location node open while scanning a Media Server a Media Server node appears even if no files were added to the Collection from the Media Server. Collapse/Expand the Location node and the Media Servers entry disappears. |
Fixed in build 1370. |
First on scanning Media Servers it no longer creates entries in Collections > Location node for which no files were added. It also doesn't do this for Collections where files were added for. You'll have to Collapse/Expand the Location node to see it. It also seems to not remove files from the library when removing the Media Servers node from the Location node. The Media Servers node does disappear, but on rescanning some other files files that were previously in the library (but no scanned this time) are shown under the Media Servers node. This possibly ties in with my experience that my first scan (of previously scanned files) didn't add the Media Servers node at all (even after restart). |

Fixed in build 1379. |
1) Scanning Media Servers now adds Media Server in Collection with Location expanded as it should 2) but also in Collections with Location node expanded it shouldn't 3) Removing Media Servers node now seems to remove content from Library as it should tested on 1381 |
Fixed in build 1382. |
2) fixed in 1382 4) it fails to add it to the Entire Library > Location when expanded (after collapse/expand it does show) (similar to: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=7802#c25848) 5) Removing Media Servers node from Music (only collection with Media Servers content) it doesn't remove it from Entire Library (after collapse/expand it is removed) 6) After removing Media Servers node it no longer enables the Media Servers node after Add/Rescan Files from the Media Server. Files do seem to be added to the Library. Even restart won't show Media Servers node, despite that tracks from Media Servers are in Library. |
4) & 5) are fixed in build 1383. 6) I am not sure I understand what you mean, maybe you are observing the issue that MediaMonkey silently fails to scan track to library for which the same metadata already exists, see: 0006737 |
6) I don't think so, the files do seem to get added, it is the Collection > Location > Media Servers node that fails to get added in the same session that it was removed by user. The screenshot shows the Media Server files in the Location node but no Media Servers node. |
4) Fixed in 1383 5) Not fixed, Entire Library still shows Media Servers after removal of Media Servers from Music 6a) Scan some files from a Media Server (I'm testing with 1 Album from QNAP) 6b) Remove the newly created Media Servers node from the Music Collection (removing Media Servers root node, not the QNAP server entry) 6c) Scan some other or same files from a Media Server 6d) No Media Server entry in Music > Location or Entire Library > Location 6e) Navigate to Album just added from Media Server 6f) Files from Media Server show 6g) Restart MM 6h) Media Servers still fail to show |
Re: 6) You are right, same issue exists for 'URL' node -> fixed in build 1385. |
7) Renaming of Media servers shouldn't be allowed. |
Issues 6 & 7 are fixed in build 1385. Issue 5 is no longer an issue, because 'Media Servers' cannot be directly removed from the tree (because of issue 6), if all children (servers) of 'Media Servers' are deleted then 'Media Servers' is no longer shown on the next expand. Nevertheless issue 5 remains to be a (low priority) issue for children of 'Media Servers' node. The 'URL' node works in a very similar way. |
5) Removal of the specific Media Server from Music > Location > Media Servers fails to update the Entire Library which will still show the specific Media Server until node refresh 6) Still present 6a) Scan some files from a Media Server (I'm testing with 1 Album from QNAP) 6b) Remove the newly created QNAP Media Server node from the Music Collection 6c) Scan the same files from the QNAP Media Server 6d) No Media Server entry in Music > Location > Media Servers or Entire Library > Location > Media Servers 6e) Navigate to Album just added from Media Server 6f) Files from Media Server show 6g) Restart MM 6h) Media Servers still fail to show 7) Verified Media Servers can't be removed, but on removal of child server the Media Servers node doesn't disappear until Location node refresh 8) Context menu for Media Servers shows Remove (among other items) enabled which aren't functional because of 7 |
