Summary | 0007367: Right-clicked tree node is not highlighted [MM4]
Description | The right click on some tree node which is different then the current node has different behavior then before -> it now doesn't change the current node. This is fine since such behavior has any Windows tree panel and the previous behavior had negative effects with nodes containing many tracks. However, the tree node on which some user is right-clicked is not highlighted. If you don't know what I am talking, here is the screenshot of XP Windows Explorer with the current node "My Documents" and right-clicked node "My Music": Here is the Vista screenshot: Users have not any indication which node is right-clicked except from the location of the context menu. However, theoretically there are situations when you cannot see from the location of the context menu on which node was right-clicked.

Well, I just discovered that nodes are not selected on the right-click only for nodes on the topmost level - all other sub-nodes are selected on the right-click which is even worse and inconsistent. |
|
We should revert this to MM 3.x behavior. |

Already reverted in 1351 |

Verified in 1351. It's a shame though that right click (on main or subnodes) can't be implemented without activating the node. All this unnecessary loading just slows things down as reported in other tickets. |
